GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This App is designed for Israeli physicians and will enable them to write prescriptions for their patients.

A database of patients is maintained on the App. This database is encrypted and can only be accessed with a password. The connection to the database is only maintained while the App is running. Every time the App is restarted, the user will need to reenter the password. Well this may be inconvenient, it is necessary for compliance with patients’ privacy.

A full list of medications currently available in Israel is maintained as part of the App. The changes to this list are made at the time of regular App updates.

Every time a prescription is sent to a printer or stored in the file to be printed at a later time, or shared with the user by any other means available on their device, a prescription record is created and stored in the database on the App. The user can retrieve and re-print any prescription from this list. If it is saved or sent to a printer, a new record will be created in the list. Thus, for every patient a list of recent prescriptions is maintained. A list of patients, for whom prescriptions have been recently created, is also maintained. Both lists are kept on the device for up to 12 months.

The App can work off-line. The only time an Internet connection is needed, is during the registration process or in case the user forgets the password. It should be noted, that the password is never stored outside of the App. A separate password reset key that is associated with the user ID (user email address), and the user ID itself are stored on our App server.

The registration process ensures verification of user’s identity as well as the means to reset the user’s password in case it is forgotten.
